Folks, the Cy Young Race is over, just completely over. Im proud to present the award to Mr.. Just admit it, you know its true. He has won 15 in which his team has given him less then a 3 run lead. Do you understand that??? DO YOU UNDERSTAND HOW AMAZING THAT IS?????!!!!!!! That means he allowed 2 runs or less in FIFTEEN GAMES after his team leads!15! Thats amazing! His WHIP is .90, that means he allows LESS THEN 1 RUNNER PER INNING! The man is nearly averaging a No-Hitter! And Jack wants to say HES NOT A CY YOUNG WINNER! Jared Weavers WHIP is .97, which in Saber Metric Terms, is a large difference. Also, Verlander has pitched 215.2 innings this year, compared to Weavers 195.1. That means in MORE innings, Verlander has aloud LESS runners! Also, Verlander's Opponent Batting Average is .190, compared to Weavers .206. And it doesnt stop there, Verlander has 206 K's, Weaver has 166. Whats that? You want more reasons that Verlander will win? OK. He is the first player to 20 saves this year, meaning he will end up in the 22-25 range. Im nearly certain that every 25 game winner has won a cy young at some point (except maybe Luis tiant). Weaver can have it some other year, but verlanders 2.38 ERA, and .90 WHIP, his 215.2 Innings, and his 206 K's all seem to say one thing. Verlander is going to win this so called "Race" for the Cy Young.
