Orioles streaking

Jo-Jo Reyes found his winning touch yesterday, as the Orioles finished off a 4-game sweep of the Twins at Target Field. Reyes went 6 innings strong, giving up 1 run on 5 hits. The downside to his start. however, was the fact that he walked 4 in those six innings. Reyes threw 107 pitches, 61% of them for strikes. Chris Jakubauskas threw two solid innings in relif, giving up one hit and throwing 30 pitches. Kevin Gregg threw the 9th. Nolan Reimold led off the 2nd inning with a single to left. Ryan Adams followed with another single to left. Craig Tatum followed with a walk. A walk to leadoff man Robert Andino brought in a run, but that was all the Orioles could muster after J.J Hardy grounded out. Minnesota struck in the bottom of the 3rd with a 1 out single by Trevor Plouffe, followed by an R.B.I double for Justin Morneau. A 2 run double by Adams in the 6th, and Mark Reynolds 3-run homer (his 29th on the year, and 2nd in as many days) in the 7th, put the game away for the Orioles. It is their longest streak this year since June 6th-10th, and their first seris win in their last 14 tries. Note- Twins starter Francisco Liriano left the game in the 3rd inning with a left shoulder strain. The Orioles host A.J Burnett and the New York Yankees at the beggining of a 3 game set, while Minnesota hosts Rick Porcello and the Detriot Tigers tommorow, and will see Major League wins leader Justin Verlander on Saturday. Verlander is looking for his 20th win.
